Responding to the remarks made by HE Chung Hwang-Keun, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs of the Republic of Korea on the close partnership between Cambodia and Korea in terms of international cooperation and assistance after the formal relationship between the two countries has been reconnected since the late 1990s, at a meeting on August 28, 2023, at the Peace Palace, HE Kitti Tesaphibal Bindit Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia thanked the Korean side for always providing Support and care for Cambodian workers in Korea through the Labor Support Center, providing support services to workers from all countries, Cambodian workers included. HE Kitti Tesaphibal Bindit Prime Minister expressed his support for the Korean candidacy to host the 2030 World Expo in Busan.
Along with the guests’ remarks on Cambodia’s great potential, such as natural resources, demographics, especially the leadership of the Royal Government of Cambodia, which will further improve the agricultural sector as well as other important sectors better in the future, HE Kitti Tesaphibal Bindit requests the Korean side to encourage investment to Cambodia, especially in the agricultural sector for export. The two sides also agreed to further strengthen and expand cooperation and trade between the two countries./.
