On the morning of September 6, 2023, in Jakarta, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet thanked Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF), for his congratulations and greetings and praised the WEF for bringing the achievements of the Royal Government and Cambodia’s potential to the international stage. After attending the ASEAN Summit in Cambodia last year, Professor Schwab noted and appreciated the potential and growth of Cambodia and intends to further expand cooperation in Cambodia as well as the ASEAN region. Samdech Thipadei welcomed this intention and highlighted the consistency and possible harmonizing the agenda of the WEF and Cambodia’s Pentagon Strategy – Phase I in terms of private sector and digital economic and social developments and believed that WEF will play an important role in improving the relationship between the public and private sectors. Finally, Professor Schwab invited Samdech Thipadei to attend the upcoming World Economic Forum in Davos, where Samdech will possibly lead a delegation and the Cambodian Business Association to attend./.
