AKP ៖ Cambodia and India have lauded their long-standing relationship and noted that they still have much more room to expand their cooperation for their mutual benefits and to bring their relations to a new height.
The view was shared by Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and H.E. Vanlalvawna Bawitlung, newly appointed Indian Ambassador to Cambodia, during their meeting here at the Peace Palace this morning.
H.E. Ambassador emphasised India’s commitment to Cambodia as a key partner, highlighting the decades-long relationship and the steady growth of cooperation across multiple sectors.
For his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet expressed his gratitude to the Government and people of India for their contributions to the socio-economic development of Cambodia, especially in human resource development.
The Premier is convinced that the role of H.E. Ambassador will further contribute to strengthening and expanding the relations and cooperation between the two countries.
Samdech Thipadei and H.E. Vanlalvawna Bawitlung discussed the potential areas for cooperation expansion, including economy, trade, investment, national defence and security, tourism and culture. They also explored the possibility of increasing direct flights between Cambodia and India and promoting stronger people-to-people and business-to-business connectivity.
The Prime Minister encouraged the Indian ambassador to establish close contacts and collaboration with Cambodian ministries and institutions to further foster the cooperation between both countries.
