FN : Brazilian Ambassador to Cambodia Vivian Loss Sanmartin announced to deepen bilateral relations and cooperation with Cambodia.
The ambassador paid a courtesy call on Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet on Tuesday morning (Dec. 2) at the Peace Palace.
The ambassador thanked Samdech Thipadei for allowing her and her delegations to pay a courtesy. She conveyed her sincere delight at being appointed as the first Brazilian Ambassador to Cambodia in the history of over 30 years of bilateral relations and cooperation between the two nations.
Ambassador Vivian Loss Sanmartin highly valued the bilateral relationship and cooperation, noting its continuous growth, including the reopening of the embassy exchanges. During her tenure in Cambodia, she is committed to promoting and strengthening relations and cooperation between the two countries across multiple sectors.
For his part, Samdech Thipadei welcomed and expressed his pleasure at meeting and discussing work with the ambassador, while congratulating her on being appointed Brazil’s first mbassador to Cambodia. The premier also warmly welcomed the reopening of embassy exchanges.
Prime Minister Hun Manet expressed firm confidence that, during her tenure, bilateral relations and cooperation will continue to grow and strengthen. Samdech Thipadei encouraged the ambassador to continue liaising with relevant Cambodian ministries and institutions to further enhance cooperation and achieve more fruitful results.
Both sides discussed strengthening and expanding cooperation in key sectors, including the economy and trade, education, agriculture, environment, renewable energy, health, and peace and security. In addition, they discussed cooperation within the ASEAN framework, with the ambassador expressing her gratitude to Cambodia for supporting Brazil as a sectoral dialogue partner within ASEAN.
