On the evening of September 5, 2023, attending the 43rd ASEAN Summit and related meetings in Indonesia, Samdech Moha Bovor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and HE Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr., President of the Philippines, have presided over the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding for the Development of Partnership for Agriculture and Micro-SMEs of Cambodia and the Philippines, focusing on
(1) studying and establishing ports with potential of training on agricultural technology, food security, agribusiness model, entrepreneurship and value chain development of farmers, small, medium and large enterprises.
(2) identifying business needs to develop trade and investment opportunities in rice and other agricultural products and services.
(3) promoting rice research and development.
(4) promoting effective strategies to address climate change and ensuring a sustainable agro-business environment.
