In the evening of September 7, 2023, at Jakarta, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet expressed his condolences for the loss of the father of HE Yoon Sok Yeol, President of the Republic of Korea, and conveyed the greetings from Samdech Techo to HE President as well as the Korean people. In return, HE Yoon Seok Yeol praised and appreciated the Cambodian people and Samdech Techo for their efforts to maintain and strengthen diplomatic ties with South Korea and exhibited strong belief in the leadership of Samdech Thipadei. The South Korean government also thanked Cambodia for supporting South Korea’s candidacy to host the 2030 World Expo in Busan. In addition, the two leaders agreed to further strengthen and expand cooperation on investment, trade, agriculture, public health, national defense and people-to-people connectivity. Samdech Thipadei extended his thank for South Korean government’s attention on Cambodian workers living and working there, while HE President has promised to consider increasing the quota for Cambodian workers and continue to encourage Korean companies to invest in Cambodia, especially in the field of digital technology./.
