According to the daily report of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation for September 28, 2023, the cash data that have been released by the Royal Government to help reach three major priorities:
(a) the poor and vulnerable families during the time of Covid-19 – starting from June 24, 2020 or equal to 39 months, to 437 731 families or equal to 2.7 million people, cost 4,805 801 699,000 Riel or nearly 1.2 billion USD;
(B) 339,977 pregnant women and children under 2 years of age, applied since June 1, 2019, at a cost of 110,401,200,000 Riels or nearly 27 million USD; and,
(C) Families vulnerable to inflationary pressures from December 3, 2022, to some 495 119 families, equivalent to more than 1.8 million people, cost 173,900,021,200 riels or nearly 43 million dollars. Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister Hun Manet stated – “apart from these three programs, the Royal Government has numerous other policies to help Cambodians of all walks of life in all sectors throughout the country. “Cambodia is not a very rich country, but the Royal Government of Cambodia is not disheartened to help its own people,” Samdech Thipadei wrote.
