On the evening of September 5, 2023, in Jakarta, HE Lee Hsien Loong, Prime Minister of Singapore congratulated the newly elected Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet as Prime Minister of Cambodia and reminded of their last meeting in 2018. In response, Samdech Thipadei thanked and expressed his pleasure for the relationship and cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of defense and education. The two leaders also discussed the need to further strengthen existing cooperation and expand cooperation in areas with potential, especially the possibility of importing rice and other agricultural products from Cambodia to the Singapore market, as well as the project of Construction of submarine power transmission line from Laos to Singapore.
