Up until now, it has been four days, and I have not yet seen Mr. Um Sam An provide a clear response regarding my invitation to him and his border expert group to bring all documents and evidence they have concerning the Cambodia-Thailand border between boundary markers No. 52 and 59 to have a direct, straightforward discussion with the border expert team of the Secretariat of State for Border Affairs in Cambodia. This is to show our transparency, accountability, correctness, and responsibility before the citizens regarding the border issue with Thailand, especially during this phase where the Cambodia-Thailand border situation has not yet been fully resolved.
I have only seen him release many messages in recent days—at times claiming he fears being secretly shot or hit on the head, at times saying he agrees to lose so that Khmers win, and so on. Most recently, he was seen relying on an illegal organization to set lengthy conditions with the legitimate Royal Government, which appears to be a pretext to excuse himself from the invitation to discuss and verify a small area along the border line between border markers No. 52 and 59—where he accused the Royal Government’s border experts of secretly allowing Thailand to plant markers inside Cambodian territory. If he does not even dare to come discuss or lacks documents to deliberate over a stretch of just a few kilometers, how can he be expected to handle the entire border?
Still waiting for a clear response from him regarding the invitation to come discuss the case of the Cambodia-Thailand border between markers No. 52 and 59.
